# Keeping the physio busy: United’s most prolific absentees

Injuries are taking their toll on United’s season to some extent; the long-term loss of Luke Shaw following his horrific double-break of the leg against PSV Eindhoven is a huge concern, as nobody seems able to hold down the left-back spot for long enough, or play the role to a high level, to fill in for Luke.

Injuries to Carrick, Rojo, Jones, Rooney, Young and Valencia haven’t helped either – and Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard are out of action at the moment. Continuously having players ruled out means Louis van Gaal has had to rotate his squad a lot – and that’s not healthy when it means the tactics and formations are constantly changing along with the personnel.
