# United interested in Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski is [reportedly](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/internacional/20151219/30917307086/locos-por-lewandowski.html) subject to a £51m (€70m) bid from Manchester United, according to Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo.

The Pole has scored 23 goals in 24 games for German outfit Bayern Munich so far this season, the kind of goalscoring form severly lacked by United this campaign. This form is the polar opposite of Wayne Rooney, who has only two Premier League goals to his name this season.

United will have competition for Lewandowski’s signature, with Paris-Saint Germain and Real Madrid though to also be interested. It is also believed that Lewandowski will get a hefty contract of roughly £11m (€15m) per season.

Since joining Bayern from Borussia Dortmund in July 2014, Lewandowski has 48 goals in his 75 appearances. His most notable game this season was when he scored **five** goals in only nine minutes, after being substituted on against Wolfsburg.

United have scored only 22 goals in the league this season, a poor tally for a team many belived to be title contenders. A prolific talisman like Lewandowski could be the perfect solution to their goal dilemma.
