# Player Ratings: Stoke City 2 – 0 Manchester United

Manchester United’s season lurched from one bad result to another, after a Boxing Day defeat to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.

Goals from Bojan and Marko Arnautoivc condemned the Reds to a fourth straight defeat on the trot and could spell the end of Louis van Gaal’s tenure in charge of United.

It was another lifeless performance from United and they failed to raise their levels after all the hullabaloo surrounding the Dutchman’s future in the pre-match press conference, which resulted in van Gaal walking out after a five-minute speech.
