# Watford striker reveals it would be difficult to reject United

Watford forward Odion Ighalo says that it would be difficult for him to turn down a move to his boyhood club if they were to bid for him during the January transfer window.

The Nigerian has been in inspiring form over this past year, achieving the most goals in English football for 2015 netting 30 in total, and is enjoying a decent start to his Premier League career with 14 goals in 20 appearances.

United have struggled for goals this season, scoring 24 goals in 20 games, incidentally one less than Ighalo’s current team, Watford.

The 26-year-old told [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11686/10121688/watford-forward-odion-ighalo-admits-it-would-be-hard-to-reject-man-utd):

> *There has been speculation from Spain and Italy but I’ve played there and now want to play in England.*
>
> *I don’t think I will be moving but I’m not sure I’d say no if United called.*

> *They were my team growing up. I loved watching Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke on TV.*
>
> *They were my idols and playing at Old Trafford has always been a dream.*

However, it’s understood that Watford will not be selling their top goalscorer under any circumstance, and it’s not known as to whether United are even interested in making the signing.

The Red Devils are yet to make a signing this January, failing to bring in Sadio Mane from Southampton and seemingly finding it difficult to attract the big names to Old Trafford so far, so a surprise swoop like Ighalo may not be out of the question.
