The 23-year-old has been the talk of the summer and this news now means Manchester United are a step closer to breaking the transfer record set by [Real Madrid](https://www.realmadrid.com/) midfielder Gareth Bale.

Pogba, who will undergo a medical at the club’s AON Training Complex, has been on holiday in the United States after helping France to the final of the European Championship this summer. Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has been trying to finalise a deal while the French International has been on holiday.

Manchester United manager José Mourinho also confirmed that the move was on after United clinched the Community Shield over Leicester City yesterday, saying:

> *He’s our player assuming everything goes well in the medical, I will be there waiting for him on Tuesday.*
>
> *I know we are getting a very good player and I think United is the perfect club to bring him to the level he wants to* *be at.*
>
> *We want to bring Manchester United to the top again and if you want to be the best player in the world this is the club to join. We have everything to offer him and he is coming because he knows the club and the city and he wants to be a part of the Manchester United project.*
