# Who was United’s man of the match against Southampton (H)?

Manchester United continued their winning start to the Premier League season, with a Zlatan Ibrahimovic double helping the Reds to a 2-0 win at Old Trafford.

The first Friday night fixture of the season saw José Mourinho take charge of United for the first time at the Theatre of Dreams, as well as the second debut of Paul Pogba, who put in an impressive performance in the centre of the park.

And United fans would not go home disappointed, with Ibrahimovic providing the firepower in front of goal. His first was an impeccable bullet header from a pinpoint Wayne Rooney cross, while the second was a precise penalty from twelve yards out after Luke Shaw was fouled by Jordy Clasie early in the second half.

It was a polished performance by United and there were signs of the old United coming back – marked by a raucous atmosphere inside the ground and the fluid football displayed by the Reds at times throughout the clash. Everywhere will hope that this is just the start of something spectacular.
