# Predicted XI: Northampton (A) EFL Cup

After a strong start to the Jose Mourinho era at Manchester United, a series of poor results have mounted the pressure on the side to pull our a performance against Northampton tonight in the EFL Cup.

The defeat to Manchester City in the derby was a bitter pill to swallow, follow that up with a shock Europa League defeat against Feyenoord and an even more shocking Premier League defeat to Watford and Manchester United need to go out and win tonight.

A cup run is normally a good chance to blood in some of the youngsters or fringe players in the squad, but given the recent form of the side United can’t take any risks and will field a stronger than expected team.

Here’s the team we think Manchester United will field against Northampton tonight.
