# Team News: Zorya Luhansk (A)

Manchester United have taken a 19-man squad to Ukraine for their crucial Europa League clash against Zorya Luhansk on Thursday.

The Reds flew out to Odessa on Wednesday morning, knowing that a point against the Ukrainian side will secure at least second place in Group A and a place in the knockout stages in the New Year.

The main story coming out of the team news concerns Wayne Rooney, with the Manchester United skipper travelling with the side after missing out on United’s 1-1 draw with Everton at the weekend due to suspension.

The 31-year-old, who became the Reds’ top scorer in Europe with a goal against Feyenoord last time out, will become United’s all-time top scorer with two goals against Zorya.

Eric Bailly has also travelled with the side to Ukraine after making the bench for the draw against Everton on Sunday. The Ivorian recently returned to training after picking up a knee injury in mid-October.

The major absentees from the travelling squad include Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw, who are both injured, while Bastian Schweinsteiger is ineligible to play in the Europa League.

Michael Carrick, Matteo Darmian, Antonio Valencia, Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin have also not travelled, with the first three rested and the last two seemingly out of favour with José Mourinho.
