# Predicted United XI vs Manchester City

Manchester United have been dealt a huge blow ahead of their crunch match with Manchester City on Thursday night – midfielder Paul Pogba will miss the game through injury, after being forced off last weekend against Burnley.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marcos Rojo and Juan Mata out for the season, as well as Phil Jones and Chris Smalling still being out, Jose Mourinho has quite the injury crisis to deal with.

Thankfully, Antonio Valencia is fit to play at the Etihad and Wayne Rooney marked his return to action with a goal at Turf Moor on Sunday.

United will be looking to Rooney, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial for goals for the rest of the season – and with a place in the top four potentially at stake at the Etihad, it’s not a game in which United can afford to sit back in.
