Manchester United have been actively seeking to bolster their defensive options in the recent couple of transfer windows and are poised to do the same this summer, with the Daily Mail stating that they’l secure a deal worth £25 million to bring Michael Keane back to Old Trafford.

The Burnley man has been enjoying a quite superb season for the Clarets, emerging as their best player this season and as a result of this, earning his first ever senior England call-up.

Keane was sold by United under Louis van Gaal for a lowly fee of £2m, but has since shown his quality in both the Championship and now the Premier League for Burnley, earning him plenty of plaudits.

The 24-year-old’s contract at Turf Moor includes a 25% sell-on clause as inserted by United upon his sale back in 2015, and this therefore means that it’d be cheaper for the Red Devils to re-sign him.
