Marek Hamsik has been with Napoli for little over 10 years now, but has admitted that if a chance to join Manchester United arose, he’d have a big decision on his hands.
The Slovakian talisman discussed his future plans with German magazine Kicker, who the Daily Star credit, and claimed that a move to United would tempt him.
When quizzed on whether or not a move to a club like United or Barcelona would tempt him, Hamsik replied:
That’s hard to say. It would surely be the hardest decision in my career. Maybe everyone wants to play at these clubs, but I can’t answer that.
Hamsik has gone from strength to strength with Napoli, and over the last few years has established himself as one of Serie A’s best talents.
The 30-year-old was particularly superb under Maurizio Sarri last season, and was a key factor in helping Napoli become one of the most attractive footballing teams in Europe.
Manchester United are not in desperate need of midfielders, though. They’ve been linked with a move for Hamsik for many years now but nothing has come to fruition.
However, it looks as though if a concrete offer does one day come about, Hamsik will have a big decision on his hands.
