Premier League club Manchester United are pondering a swap deal with Borussia Dortmund to secure the signature of Christian Pulisic, involving out-of-form Armenian Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to a report on the Daily Star.
The Red Devils are keen to beat rivals Liverpool to the signature of highly-rated American youngster Pulisic, who has caught the eye of both clubs after some brilliant performances this season.
The 19-year-old has managed to find the back of the net four times so far this season and is continuing to improve game by game.
The winger is set to be targeted by several clubs in the summer with Liverpool and United reported to be leading the race.
United’s playmaker Mkhitaryan has failed to impress during his time with United and Dortmund are open to re-signing the Armenian and United could use him in a potential swap deal.
The young American will not participate in the 2018 World Cup after the USA failed to qualify for the tournament, but United believe that Pulisic would add commercial value to the club and will help to increase the club’s popularity in the USA.
Jose Mourinho is desperate to sign a winger and Pulisic has all the attributes to be a success in the Premier League.
