# Lukaku wants to end career with first club

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku says he wants to return to boyhood club Anderlecht before he hangs up his boots.

Having started his career with the reigning Belgian champions, Lukaku scored 41 goals in 98 appearances across all competitions before joining Chelsea in 2011.

Since that move, Lukaku has enjoyed successful spells with West Brom and Everton before signing from the Toffees to United last summer for a total deal worth £90million. However, the 24-year old admits he is keen to return to his first club before his career comes to an end. > My dream was always to play for Anderlecht.

> Before the end of my career I will definitely return, I can already promise that. I had a wonderful time there.

Since reuniting with Jose Mourinho, Lukaku has scored 18 times to top United’s scoring charts this season.

United currently sit in second place in the Premier League, just two points ahead of Liverpool. However, city rivals Manchester City sit atop the table, 16 points ahead.
