# United set to let Darmian leave for Arsenal

Manchester United are set to allow out of favor defender Matteo Darmian to leave the club this summer to Premier League rivals Arsenal as they shake up their squad, according to the [Mirror.](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-set-offload-matteo-12234752)

The Italian has really found it hard to gain many first team opportunities this season, with Antonio Valencia being in such fine form, making the right-back position his own.

Arsenal are keen on the move as they look for a replacement for Hector Bellerín who looks set to leave the club this summer.

Arsene Wenger is keen on the player and sees him as the ideal option to bring in should the young Spaniard depart from the Emirates.

Darmian has mainly being given chances to impress in the EFL Cup this season with him finding it difficult to even feature on the bench in the Premier League and Champions League.

He came to the club with a good pedigree but has found it tough to make a positive impact.
