# Mourinho bluntly dismisses talk of Pogba’s international form

José Mourinho wouldn’t pass comment on Paul Pogba’s international performances for France during Friday’s pre-match press conference.

The £89million club record signing has had a turbulent season, having been left out of the first-team frequently in recent weeks due to a series of sub-par performances.

Reports have suggested that a rift between Mourinho and Pogba may exist and could be the primary reason the 25-year old is struggling for minutes.

During the recent international break, Pogba was able to get away from Manchester, appearing as a substitue against Colombia before starting and scoring a free-kick against Russia.

However, Mourinho didn’t offer much praise for the midfielder, in fact he had nothing to say about the Frenchman, bluntly saying;

> I don’t speak about my players’ international form.

Rumours also suggested that Mourinho was the reason Pogba didn’t start France’s game with Colombia, after the Portuguese manager spoke to Didier Deschamps. However, Mourinho was quick to shut that down, saying;

> That’s not true.

> The last time I spoke to him was when we faced each other in 2004.

Manchester United face Swansea on Saturday as they bid to cement their position in the Premier League’s top four.
