Matteo Darmian has reportedly agreed to join Juventus this summer as he edges closer to an Old Trafford exit.

A report from Tuttosport, as cited by the Daily Mail claims that the Italian has verbally agreed to a move to the Old Lady.

The deal is now likely to be formalised in the summer with Juventus due to hold further talks with Manchester United.

Darmian has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford since Jose Mourinho took charge of the club.

Ashley Young has been the preferred option at left-back this season, while Antonio Valencia has been a mainstay at right-back.

After joining the club from Torino, a lot has been expected of the defender, but he has never managed to fulfil his potential at the club.

Juventus have been heavily linked with a move for Darmian for some time, while other Italian sides such as Roma have also been credited with an interest in the past.
