United to cool interest in Jorginho
Manchester United are now unlikely to sign Italian midfielder Jorginho this summer with the Red Devils cooling their interest in the Napoli star, according to the Manchester Evening News.
United are among a number of English clubs who have been linked with a move for the midfielder, but Manchester City are frontrunners for the player. It’s now thought that United are turning their attention elsewhere.
Brazilian midfielder Fred, Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Marco Verratti have all been linked with a move to Old Trafford as United look to rebuild their midfield after failing to compete with Manchester City this season.
Jorginho has been one of the top performing midfielders so far this season and is highly thought of around Europe and City are prepared to make a move if they miss out on the signing of Fred.
Jose Mourinho himself is looking to complete the signing of two midfield players this summer.
