Juventus end pursuit of Paul Pogba
Juventus have reportedly ended their pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba for the time being.
According to claims from Italian news outlet Rai Sport, as cited in a report by Calciomercato, the Frenchman will not be making the switch back to Juventus this summer.
Pogba had been linked with a return to Italy after enduring a difficult season with Manchester United.
However, it seems Juventus will turn their attention towards other midfield targets this summer, with reports claiming that the prospect of a move this summer is not ‘feasible’.
Pogba has not had a bad season but has come in for some criticism from sections of the Manchester United fanbase and also from his manager, Jose Mourinho.
The pair’s frosty relationship has been well-documented throughout the course of the campaign but it’s understood that Mourinho would like to keep hold of United’s record signing for the foreseeable future.
Pogba will be desperate to silence his critics this summer, as he jets off to Russia with the French national team for the World Cup.
