# Rashford set to return to training after knee injury setback

Manchester United fans should be able to see Marcus Rashford in action on Monday night against Tunisia, as he is expected back in training on Friday morning, [BBC Sport](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44490218) have confirmed.

The 20-year-old striker suffered a minor knee injury during a light practice match on Monday at St. George’s Park, so he had to sit out of England’s first training session in Russia on Wednesday. He spent Thursday away from the main group as well, training on his own.

However, we won’t know until Monday evening whether Rashford will be in the starting XI or whether his first 2018 World Cup appearance will be as a substitute.

The talented youngster put in a Man of the Match display during England’s comfortable 2-0 victory over Costa Rica last Thursday, and he topped it with an absolutely sublime strike that left Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas clutching at thin air.

In fact, he put in such a good display, that a host of former England players, such as Ian Wright, Lee Dixon, and Glenn Hoddle have called for him to start ahead of Raheem Sterling on Monday evening.
