# Leeds vs Man Utd preview: Team news, form, injuries and where to watch

**Leeds United welcome Manchester United to Elland Road on Sunday, with both sides looking to put a difficult run of results behind them and get their Premier League season on track.**

Leeds United suffered a 2-1 defeat away to Arsenal last weekend despite James Justin scoring to put them in front in the 55th minute.

[Manchester United](https://readmanutd.com/tag/manchester-united/)also dropped points in the [Premier League](https://readmanutd.com/tag/premier-league/), drawing 1-1 with Tottenham, before losing 2-0 to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League away from home.

Michael Carrick’s side have struggled to find consistency in recent weeks and have come under immense pressure to get in results. The Whites meanwhile will hope that home advantage can make the difference when United face their bitter rivals on Elland Road.

## **Leeds vs Man Utd: Recent form**

Leeds have recorded one win, two draws and two defeats in their last five matches in all competitions. Their best result came against Newcastle, where they won, but a 6-3 defeat to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup and the loss to Arsenal have left them searching for a response.

Manchester United have also won just once in their last five matches. Their 4-0 Champions League victory over Sabah FK was the only comfortable win, but defeats to Manchester City and Atletico Madrid, alongside draws against Fulham and Tottenham, have raised questions about their form and Michael Carrick.

## **Leeds vs Man Utd team news**

Leeds are waiting on Dan James, who returned from international duty with a back problem and missed the Arsenal game. Joe Rodon remains sidelined with a hamstring injury and is not expected back in full training until next month. Harry Wilson could return after being an unused substitute last weekend. Mateo Joseph is also among Leeds’ absentees.

Manchester United have their own concerns. [Luke Shaw](https://readmanutd.com/tag/luke-shaw/) and [Kobbie Mainoo](https://readmanutd.com/tag/kobbie-mainoo/) are doubts after picking up issues against Tottenham and missing Tuesday’s trip to Madrid. Benjamin Sesko remains unavailable with a recurring shin problem, while Patrick Dorgu is expected to be out until late November. Manuel Ugarte is recovering from knee surgery, and Noussair Mazraoui is a doubt with a back problem.

There is better news regarding Matthijs de Ligt, who could return to contention. Leny Yoro is also available for selection despite his Champions League suspension.
