# Man Utd Confirmed Lineup vs Leeds: Lisandro Martinez starts, Cunha on bench

**Leeds United welcome Manchester United to Elland Road on Sunday, with both sides looking to put a difficult run of results behind them and get their Premier League season on track.**

[Leeds United](https://readmanutd.com/tag/leeds-united/) suffered a 2-1 defeat away to Arsenal last weekend. [Manchester United](https://readmanutd.com/tag/manchester-united/) also dropped points in the [Premier League](https://readmanutd.com/tag/premier-league/), drawing 1-1 with Tottenham, before losing 2-0 to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League away from home.

Michael Carrick’s side have struggled to find consistency in recent weeks and have come under immense pressure to get in results. The Whites meanwhile will hope that home advantage can make the difference when United face their bitter rivals on Elland Road.

## **Manchester United confirmed lineup vs Leeds**

[Michael Carrick](https://readmanutd.com/tag/michael-carrick/) has made his selection for the trip to Elland Road, with [Matheus Cunha](https://readmanutd.com/tag/matheus-cunha/) the notable name left out of the starting XI. Lisandro Martinez starts alongside Maguire despite an explosive rant against the club hierarchy after the Champions League loss to Atletico Madrid.

Senne Lammens starts in goal, with Leny Yoro, Harry Maguire, [Lisandro Martinez](https://readmanutd.com/tag/lisandro-martinez/) and Diogo Dalot named in defence.

Andrey Santos and Carlos Baleba will feature in midfield, while [Bruno Fernandes](https://readmanutd.com/tag/bruno-fernandes/) and Youri Tielemans start together again.

Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo complete the starting lineup, with Carrick opting for Bruno Fernandes to start on the left wing and Tielemans in the no. 10 role.

**Manchester United starting XI:**

Lammens; Yoro, Maguire, Martinez, Dalot; Santos, Baleba, Bruno Fernandes, Tielemans; Amad, Mbeumo.

## **Cunha Dropped for Elland Road trip**

Cunha’s absence from the starting lineup is the main talking point ahead of kick-off. The Brazilian has been left out as Carrick makes changes for a match United badly need to win. Noussair Mazraoui also returns to the bench after recovering from the injury he picked up during the international break.

United have struggled to put together a consistent run of results, and Sunday’s derby presents another test for Carrick. With Leeds also looking to respond after their defeat to Arsenal, United will need a strong performance to leave Elland Road with all three points.
