### The Journey to Old Trafford

Casemiro’s path to the Theatre of Dreams began in Sao Paulo, where his potential was evident from a young age. After a breakthrough in Brazil and a brief learning curve at Real Madrid Castilla, he spent a transformative season on loan at Porto. Upon his return to the Santiago Bernabeu, he became the bedrock of the legendary “MCK” midfield alongside Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

In August 2022, seeking a new challenge after winning everything in Spain, Casemiro sent a famous message to his agent during United’s heavy defeat to Brentford: *“Tell them I’ll fix it.”* Days later, he was unveiled to a roaring [Old Trafford](https://readmanutd.com/2026/04/28/man-united-2-1-brentford-emotional-casemiro-reaching-old-trafford-legendary-status-football-news/) crowd after sealing a £70m switch.
