As The Red Devils prepare to kick off April by hosting relegation candidates Aston Villa, three fixture changes have been announced for May, the final month of the 2014/15 campaign.
With a tough schedule ahead for the coming month – which will see United host the Manchester derby before trips to Chelsea and Everton – three games will be shown on Sky Sports as the season comes to a conclusion.
Louis van Gaal’s men will initiate the month at the Theatre of Dreams, now hosting West Bromwich Albion on Saturday 2nd May at 5.30pm. The following week will see his side travel to Crystal Palace on Saturday 9th May, also a 5.30pm, before a monumental clash with Arsenal.
Despite a 2-1 victory at the Emirates Stadium earlier in the season, the Gunners most recently ended supporters’ hopes of a long-awaited FA Cup success story. A 2-1 defeat on home soil will want to be forgotten by the Old Trafford faithful, and they will be hoping revenge can be served on Sunday 17th May, as the teams meet with a 4.00pm kick-off.
The trio of fixtures will be broadcasted on Sky Sports, before the final fixture of the season sees a trip to Hull City. With all matches scheduled for Sunday 24th May with a 3.00pm kick-off, the match could potentially be decisive for title shots and European qualification.
Having recently seen off Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur – who sit in fifth and seventh respectively, the Reds will meet the current top three sides within the closing weeks.
Manchester United currently trail league leaders Chelsea by eight points, who also have a game in hand.
