Manchester United are yet to make a second offer for Morgan Schneiderlin, according to reports in the Express.
The Red Devils had a £20 million offer rejected by Southampton and contrary to rumours they have yet to return with a second bid. However the south coast side’s executive director of football, Les Reed, is expecting another bid to be made.
“It’s very difficult to know where his future lies because, yes, there’s interest, it’s been well documented that they made a bid that we turned down, and that to an extent is their declaration of interest,” Reed told the Daily Echo,
“I’ve been bracing myself for the big offer that goes ‘Right, take it or leave it,’ and that hasn’t come.
“Unfortunately, because of the publicity surrounding it, Morgan will be thinking the same thing.
“I have to say Morgan’s been exceptionally professional, he’s turned up for training on time.”
With United reportedly in the process of tying up a deal for Bastian Schweinsteiger, any transfer for Morgan Schneiderlin looks to have taken a back seat. It will be interesting to see what United do next in their pursuit of the French midfielder.
