Manchester United have completed the signing of Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
The 25-year-old has joined on a four-year contract for a fee believed to be in the region of £25 million.
‘Once I learned United were interested in me, it was a very easy decision to make,’ said the 25-year-old this morning, who had vowed only to leave St Mary’s should the offer of Champions League football arise.
Schneiderlin has made 260 appearances for Southampton, scoring 15 goals, since his arrival from Strasbourg in 2008. He was a part of the side which saw the Saints relegated to League One in 2009 before achieving consecutive promotions to return to the Premier League in 2012. Following his début in 2014, Schneiderlin has gone on to win 9 caps with the French national side.
