2015/16 Home Kit Released

2015/16 Home Kit Released

Manchester United’s record-breaking kit contract with German sportswear manufacturer firm Adidas started today, 1st August 2015. Therefore, the home kit for the upcoming season has been released. There was no hanging around however, as Adidas and the club both announced the arrival of the team’s new fabric at exactly 00:01 – the exact moment United’s previous deal, with Nike, expired.

Adidas released the kit by uploading this very impressive video. Some United fans have voiced their dissatisfaction at the dramatic theme but I think it’s fantastic. “The Devils – are red”

Daley Blind and Phil Jones were present as “special guests” at the official release, where they both sported the new red top, featuring three red stripes on the shoulders and a white cuff. The pair didn’t go the whole hog and wear the shorts, socks and boots but they did show us how good the new kit will look even just wearing jeans for a walk round town – our town. Manchester is red, remember.

The best look at the shirt as a standalone comes from a tweet on the official Adidas Twitter account – bar Daley Blind and Phil Jones’ appearances.

The official Manchester United website also has a gallery of some of our players sporting the new kit – it’s a fairly impressive series of pictures

The kit will first be worn by the first team next Saturday, 8th August, when the Red Devils take on Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

What do you think of the shirt? Have Adidas done us proud? Is it better than what Nike fixed us up with for our matches? Will you be buying the shirt? Tweet us @StretfordStand!
