Manchester United kick-off another Capital One Cup campaign this week, with hopes of improving on last years showing in the competition. Van Gaal’s young United team were humbled 4-0 at League One’s MK Dons in the second round of the competition last year.
So, with Championship side Ipswich Town, sure to provide stiff opposition, van Gaal will be sure to learn from last season and keep the changes to a minimum. However, with the addition of European football to United’s calendar, they have a busy schedule ahead and changes to be expected.
