Manchester United are furious at what they view as double standards by the FA in their appeals process, according to the Mirror.
Bastian Schweinsteiger was given a three-match ban after a panel ruled that he had elbowed West Ham’s Winston Reid and as a result, committed violent conduct at the start of September.
However, Stoke defender Geoff Cameron won his appeal after being sent off for a similar incident against West Brom last weekend.

United were unhappy at the decision to suspend Schweinsteiger, as they felt it was harsh, but the decision to rescind Cameron’s ban has infuriated the Reds and they feel that double standards have been invoked in the process.
Cameron’s case was an appeal that was heard by a three-man panel consisting of a former referee, player and manager, but Schweinsteiger’s case was only heard by a three-man panel made up only of former referees.
United feel that the FA appeals process is currently unfair, inconsistent and that the whole system is one big farce if double standards continue to be present throughout the process.

During Schweinsteiger’s suspension, the Reds failed to win any of their three games as they endured a rotten patch of form. Since the German returned to the starting eleven against Chelsea, results have improved, with a draw against the Blues and a win against Swansea.
