It’s another disappointing day for Manchester United – a 2-1 defeat to relegation-threatened Sunderland which leaves the Red Devils’ top four hopes in pieces.
Wahbi Khazri’s early free-kick gave the Black Cats the lead before Anthony Martial levelled proceedings with a lovely little dink over Vito Mannone after the Sunderland keeper had kept out Juan Mata’s shot.
United failed to build on that goal in the second half, looking sluggish throughout. And they were punished eight minutes from the end, as Lamine Kone’s header squeezed past David de Gea and handed Sunderland all three points.
On this Valentine’s Day weekend, love certainly wasn’t in the air for United – so how did we rate the players’ performances?
