The finer details of Memphis Depay’s transfer from PSV Eindhoven to Manchester United have been revealed by Football Leaks.
United have paid a total of £20 million so far for the 22-year-old, with £13.35 million of that figure up front, while another £6.7 million was paid at the end of January to the current Eredivisie champions.
The Reds are also due to pay another £6.7 million to PSV in the summer, with the full transfer fee for Memphis totalling nearly £27 million.

A number of clauses have also been inserted into the deal – over £1 million will have to be paid to PSV if United win either the Premier League or Champions League, with further payments due if United make the semi-final or final of Europe’s premier club competition.
Finally, the contract dictates that there is an option to extend Memphis’ contract for a further year until 2020. The winger is currently on a four-year deal.
Memphis arrived at Old Trafford with a burgeoning reputation but has struggled during his first season in England. He has seven goals and six assists in all competitions, but only two goals and one assist has come in the Premier League – a relatively poor figure.
However, he has shown signs of improvement in his performances in recent weeks, with a standout effort against Midtjylland in the Europa League coming to mind. That bodes well for the future and United fans will hope that he can fulfill his potential at the Theatre of Dreams.
