David Beckham’s top five United goals

David Beckham is now a household name in the world of sport and entertainment, but he was first and foremost just a boy from Leytonstone in East London who played for his favourite club, Manchester United.

He would win six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and a Champions League title at Old Trafford, making 394 appearances for the Reds while holding down a first-team place on the right wing before his departure in the summer of 2003 after a disappointing fall-out with Sir Alex Ferguson.

During his time at the Theatre of Dreams, Beckham would score 85 goals, most of them being either free-kicks or stunning long-range efforts that would be considered Puskas Award contenders if they were scored in this day and age.

It’s definitely tough picking out Becks’ top five goals for United, with so many of them being absolutely wonderful, but in honour of the 20th anniversary of his sublime lob against Wimbledon, here are his top five…
