With 11 FA Cups to their name, Manchester United are the second most successful club in the history of the tournament, with only Arsenal’s record-breaking 12 cup wins eluding the Red Devils.
However, Louis Van Gaal’s men can close that gap on titles and secure their 12th FA Cup on Saturday should they overcome the challenge of Crystal Palace at Wembley.
And despite not winning the trophy for over 12 years, the FA Cup is still highly sought after by United fans, who are desperate to finish the season with some silverware – having not won a major competition since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
Since last winning the FA Cup in 2004 3-0 against Millwall the side have twice finished runners-up – both in 2005 and 2007.
