Rashford has been rewarded for his sensational start to life as a first-team United player, scoring on his debut against Midtjylland in the Europa League and going on to score 8 goals in 17 appearances for the Reds this season. The 18-year-old from Wythenshawe also made his England debut on Friday, becoming the Three Lions’ youngest-ever scorer in a 2-1 win over Australia.
Borthwick-Jackson has also been rewarded for a sterling season both for the first-team and at Under-21 level. The 19-year-old made his United debut in November against West Brom and went on to make a further 13 appearances for the Reds, also winning the Under-21 Player of the Year for his contributions as Warren Joyce’s men retained their Under-21 Premier League title.

Rashford was grateful after signing the new deal, saying:
I am delighted to have signed a new contract. I have always been a Manchester United fan, so to be playing in the first team really is a dream come true. I am grateful for having the chance to prove myself. To be able to play football at the biggest club in the world means everything to me and my family.
Borthwick-Jackson hoped the new deal would allow him to kick-on and improve as a player:
I have grown up at United and have enjoyed every minute of being here. Last season was an incredible experience to make my first team debut and a dream come true for myself and my family.
I feel it stands me in good stead for continuing my development as a Manchester United player. I will continue to work hard and take advice from the manager and his coaching team to improve with every training session.
