Timothy Fosu-Mensah is set to sign a new deal with Manchester United, according to Dutch outlet Voetbal International.
After Marcus Rashford and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson signed new deals this week at Old Trafford, the young Dutchman looks set to be the next United youngster to commit his future to the Reds as José Mourinho settles into his role as new United manager.
Fosu-Mensah made his senior United debut in February against Arsenal in the Premier League and went on to make nine appearances in all competitions under former boss Louis van Gaal.

He was also called up to the Netherlands squad for the first time recently but had to drop out due to a niggling injury.
While speaking to Voetbal International (as quoted by ESPN), the 18-year-old said he was looking forward to working with Mourinho:
I’ve never heard a player speak badly about Mourinho. I’m curious — I want to develop into a top player for Manchester United under him. That’s the next step in my plan.
You’re 18 and you’ve had Van Gaal and Mourinho as your managers. Really, it’s unbelievable.

Fosu-Mensah also praised his previous manager for helping him progress as a player:
I can only speak for myself and, for me, Van Gaal was good, the best I ever had.
Yes, he was present and he talked a lot, but he was like that with everyone, with the aim of improving you as a player. He succeeded in doing that with me. I can notice that about everything.
The admiration between Fosu-Mensah and Mourinho seems to be mutual, with Mourinho reportedly being impressed by Fosu-Mensah’s versatility and athleticism and it seems that the youngster may be about to see more first-team action this year.
