Ryan Giggs’ top five United goals

For more than two decades, Ryan Giggs mesmerised Old Trafford with his wing wizardry and spectacular skill, making a club-record 963 appearances while winning every honour there was to be won with Manchester United.

After his retirement as a player, he would move on to be a part of the backroom staff at the Theatre of Dreams, even taking charge as manager of United for a brief four-game spell when David Moyes was sacked in April 2014. He would then go on to be Louis van Gaal’s assistant manager when the Dutchman was appointed as United manager until his departure in May.

But today is a sad day. After 29 years of service at United, Giggs has decided to leave the club he joined as a youngster to fulfill his managerial ambitions, rejecting a reduced role under new manager José Mourinho.
