Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah has agreed to sign a new deal at Old Trafford, according to the Daily Mail.
The young Dutchman has impressed since making his debut as a substitute for Marcos Rojo in United’s 3-2 win over Arsenal in February, making a further nine appearances under Louis van Gaal as the Reds won the FA Cup.
José Mourinho was keen to seal the 18-year-old’s future at the Theatre of Dreams and the club are expected to make an announcement regarding Fosu-Mensah’s new contract in the next couple of days.

Fosu-Mensah only played one game in pre-season, starting in United’s 2-0 win over Wigan early in July, but sustained a thigh injury while the Reds were on tour in China and subsequently missed out on the rest of pre-season.
However, he returned to training ahead of United’s Community Shield victory over Leicester last Sunday and Mourinho is expected to keep the Dutchman in his first-team squad over the course of the season.
The 18-year-old joined United from Ajax back in 2014 and will be a useful versatile option for Mourinho, with the ability to play at both full-back positions, in the centre of defence and even further forward in midfield.
