Manchester United’s last league title came in Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season as manager of the Old Trafford club.
That was back in 2012-13, before the rather tumultuous few years under the (mis?)management of the club by David Moyes and Louis van Gaal.
Under the second of those two, United struggled for goals – and the Dutchman saw one shot on target as plenty during a 90 minute game.
Change is already happening, though, under Jose Mourinho. Serial goalscorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic is now a United player and the Red Devils have scored five goals in their opening two Premier League games.
With the likes of Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan more than likely to pop up with goals from midfield, United could be on their way back to being a more free-scoring side.
With that in mind, we’ve devised a quiz to test your memory of similar times… when Sir Alex Ferguson insisted upon building attacking teams.
Can you name every goalscorer from the Scotsman’s final season in the Old Trafford dugout?
