Pot four of a European draw is always a mixed bag – and this season’s Europa League group stage draw is no exception to that! With higher-pedigree teams such as Panathinaikos and Sassuolo in the pot alongside supposedly ‘worse’ teams such as Gabala of Azerbaijan and Osmanlispor of Turkey, the final part of the draw could go either way for United.
A trip to the other side of Europe, or even towards the Middle East in Kazakhstan would be a nightmare scenario – so a nice hop across the channel to a French team would be much more prefarable, but probably a trickier opponent.
