The international break is long and boring, taking away from our traditional weekends consumed by football, instead replacing them with mundane, bland evening games in which England usually scrape a win against bang average opposition on a week night.
To liven up the time between now and our next dose of Premier League action, we’ve decided to give United fans a chance to vote for their favourite or best starting eleven, position by position.
In some positions, there are plenty of options to choose from for one or two spots in the side, whilst for others, the choice is a simple one – but in the interests of a fair and democratic vote, we won’t even make the easy choices for you!
One of the positions where a vote seem redundant is the goalkeeper – we all know David de Gea is one of the best in the business, if not the best goalkeeper in the world… But he won’t get in our XI unless he wins a majority vote below.
There will of course be a goalkeeper on the bench in our final fan-voted XI – so the importance of this vote is still fairly high!
