Manchester United got back to winning ways in the Premier League, as they comfortably saw off Swansea City on Sunday afternoon.
Having somehow only managed to grab a point against Burnley last weekend and lost against Fenerbahce midweek in the Europa League, José Mourinho’s side needed to respond against the Swans and they cruised to a three-goal lead at half-time.
Paul Pogba provided a stunner to kick things off, lashing home from about 25 yards, before Zlatan Ibrahimovic got in on the act, firing home low from 20 yards as Bob Bradley’s side failed to get out of the gates. The Swede then fired home his second of the day after some good link-up play with captain Wayne Rooney in the build-up.
United put their foot off the gas in the second half and played at their own pace, which allowed Swansea to grab a consolation, with defender Mike van der Hoorn heading home from a Gylfi Sigurdsson free-kick with just over 20 minutes remaining.
