Jose Mourinho has another game to add to his diary as of Monday night, with his Manchester United side having been drawn against Reading in the third round of the FA Cup; a trophy which the Red Devils won last season.
The game, to be played between the 6th-9th January (date to be confirmed), has special significance as it will see the return of Jaap Stam to Old Trafford.

The Dutchman, widely considered one of the club’s best ever defenders, is the current manager of Reading.
The Royals are sitting in third place in the Championship, six points off leaders Newcastle United, and boast a goal difference in the league of just one.
Mourinho’s men haven’t impressed in that department either over the course of the 2016-17 season, sitting in sixth place in the Premier League, with a goal difference of just three.
United’s fixtures between now and the FA Cup game against Reading are as follows:
- Zorya Luhansk (A)
- Tottenham Hotspur (H)
- Crystal Palace (A)
- West Bromwich Albion (A)
- Sunderland (H)
- Middlesbrough (H)
- West Ham United (A)
If United live up to expectations, they should be in a good run of form heading into their cup tie against the Royals – but this season has certainly not gone to plan thus far…
