Manchester United cruised to their fourth straight win on Saturday evening, comfortably defeating West Bromwich Albion 2-0 at the Hawthorns.
Summer signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened the scoring just four minutes into the contest, finishing off a fine breakaway move by heading in Jesse Lingard’s well-placed cross.
Ibrahimovic doubled United’s lead just before the hour mark, jinking himself into space just inside the box before firing into the bottom corner with the help of a deflection.
From there on out United never looked in any danger of throwing away their lead, and managed to keep just their second clean sheet in their last seven Premier League games.
The win sees United move level with Tottenham Hotspurs on points, but remain in sixth position by virtue of goal difference. A nine-day wait now begins before the Reds face David Moyes’ Sunderland at Old Trafford on Boxing Day.
