Predicted XI: West Ham (A)

Predicted XI: West Ham (A)

Manchester United kick off 2017 with a trip to the London Stadium to face West Ham, with José Mourinho’s side carrying a load of momentum to start the year.

The Reds made it six wins on the bounce in all competitions with a comeback victory against Middlesbrough on New Year’s Eve – not since March and April of 2011 have United managed a seven-match winning run in all competitions but they look well placed to manage that feat against the Hammers.

However, they will have to be wary of Slaven Bilic’s side, who haven’t had the best of seasons at their new home, but had won three straight games before losing to reigning Premier League champions Leicester on New Year’s Eve.

United will definitely be making at least one change for this clash, with Eric Bailly heading off to Gabon with the Ivory Coast for their defence of the African Cup of Nations. But who else makes our predicted XI?
