Manchester United keeper Joel Pereira has suffered a knee injury which will reportedly keep him out for the next three weeks.

It is a bitter blow for young Portuguese keeper, who made his debut last weekend during United’s FA Cup fourth-round victory over Wigan Athletic, replacing Sergio Romero in the final minutes.
Pereira had only been recalled from a fruitful loan spell at Portuguese side Belenenses last month to take Sam Johnstone’s place as United’s third-choice behind David de Gea and Argentine Romero, while the Preston-born keeper headed out on loan to Aston Villa.
As a result, Dean Henderson has been recalled from his loan at League Two side Grimsby Town and will most likely replace the 20-year-old as United’s third choice keeper.
The 19-year-old from Cumbria has not made a senior Reds appearance as of yet but has made seven appearances for Grimsby this season after joining the Mariners on loan in August.

He made his professional debut for Grimsby in a 2-0 home win over Accrington Stanley on Boxing Day and has subsequently kept another three clean sheets since that game.
Such has been Henderson’s impact that his loan with Grimsby was extended until the end of the season last week, but Pereira’s injury has brought Henderson’s time at Blundell Park to an abrupt halt.
