Paul Stretford, the agent of England and Manchester United star Wayne Rooney, is in China for talks about a possible transfer for his client, according to a report from the Press Association.
Stratford is thought to be meeting with officials from Beijing Guoan, Guangzhou Evergrande, Jiangsu Suning and Tianjin Quanjian, although a transfer in the near-future looks highly unlikely.

The transfer window in China closes on Tuesday so there is an outside chance of a deal going through but it seems more likely that Rooney will see out the remainder of this season at Old Trafford before departing in the summer.
China is becoming the go-to place for a lot of the world’s leading players due to the huge salaries on offer and with Rooney’s career seemingly coming to an end, it looks like he could be the next player to cash in by making a move to Asia.
A return to his former club Everton or a move to the MLS are also options for the England captain, but he’ll earn the most money if he goes to China.
