It was Manchester United who walked away from Wembley with the EFL Cup after a fantastic game versus Southampton. United were victorious 3-2 with a Zlatan Ibrahimovic brace and another goal for Jesse Lingard, continuing his fantastic goal scoring record at Wembley.
The EFL Cup was the first trophy Jose Mourinho has won at the club and hopefully the first of many. Ibrahimovic was the focal point for the red devils today and he also bags his 32nd trophy in his 17 years of top flight football. An incredible record for the Swede!
United weren’t brilliant today but they managed to get the job done and tick off one of a possible four trophies this season.
