Manchester United and Spanish international midfielder Ander Herrera has opened up about what Jose Mourinho has brought to the club since he was appointed as manager last summer.
The fiesty fan favourite has enjoyed a good season so far under the Portuguese manager, and feels that the traditional Manchester United fear factor is back at Old Trafford.
Speaking to MUTV, Herrera said:
Sometimes, the badge wins games and this was an example of that.
I think one of the things Mourinho has brought to this club is he is a winner. He shared that with the group, with the team and with the squad.
United are unbeaten in their last 16 games in the Premier League and have lost just six of their 43 games under Mourinho so far – a massive improvement considering that they lost 15 games in the 2015-16 season under Louis van Gaal.
Herrera made a point of this improved resilience in the side:
At this moment, it’s not very easy to beat us. We have to respect every opponent but the badge sometimes wins the game. We keep going. It’s our second title of the season but it’s not enough for us.
United’s next game is against Bournemouth on Saturday.
