On this day (2nd March) in 1991, Ryan Giggs made his Manchester United debut against Everton.
Giggs came on as a substitute in the 2-0 defeat to the Toffees – but that did not set the tone for his United career.
He finally hung up his boots in 2014, after 24 seasons playing for the Red Devils. Giggs scored 168 goals in 963 appearances for United, winning 13 Premier Leagues, four FA Cups, two Champions Leagues and a whole host of other trophies.
