Manchester United have confirmed that midfielder Jesse Lingard has signed a new four-year deal with the club, with an option for an extra year.
According to Sky Sports, the new contract will see his wages treble to £100,000-a-week. Lingard had one year remaining on his previous deal and the club had been keen to secure his future at the club.
The 24-year-old has been at Old Trafford since the age of seven and finally established himself as a member of the first-team squad under Louis van Gaal last season after loan spells at Leicester City, Birmingham City, Brighton and Derby County.

Since his debut against Swansea City on the opening day of the 2014/15 season, Lingard has made 70 appearances and scored 11 goals for the Reds, including three goals at Wembley Stadium to secure FA Cup, Community Shield and League Cup success.
Speaking after signing his new contract, Lingard said:
Manchester United has always been a big part of my life. I have been with the club since the age of seven and I feel great pride every time I pull the shirt on. To have scored in two cup finals for my boyhood club were immensely proud moments for me and my family.
As a team, we have already won a major trophy this season and I look forward to helping us win many more under this great manager. I would like to say a special thank you to the fans for the great support they have always given me and the team.
