Manchester United are set to cool their interests in Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann following the news of the club’s failed attempt to lift their transfer ban.

James Ducker of the Telegraph reports that the player remains of interest to the club, but a move is unlikely this summer.
Madrid’s transfer ban has ruled them out of signing any players, meaning that they would be unable to replace the French international, who has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, specifically, Manchester United.
The La Liga side had been linked with Chelsea’s Diego Costa and Alexandre Lacazette of Lyon to replace Griezmann this summer.
Manchester United will now reportedly look to pursue another striker with the injury to Zlatan Ibrahamivoc late in the season forcing United’s hands for the summer transfer window slightly.
